Some of us have been asking what we can do to help the suffering millions in Haiti. We have been advised that the best thing to do is to support the ongoing relief work in Haiti with a financial contribution. The Government of Canada will match your contribution – so in effect every dollar you give will be doubled!

We will be sending a financial gift to World Vision Canada to support their relief work in Haiti. Please send in your financial contribution to the church office or put it in the offering basket during the Sunday Worship Service. Do remember to put your gift in an envelope, write your name on it and designate it for “Haiti Earthquake Relief.”

May we also encourage you to pray for the people of Haiti? Pray that in the midst of immense suffering they would seek God. Pray that Christians in Haiti – local believers as well as relief workers – would be able to sensitively and effectively share the gospel. Pray the people of Haiti might experience the great comfort God has for them in Jesus Christ. Pray that there would be a great turning to God in the wake of this terrible tragedy.
