Easter Sunday Service
Apr 12th
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the touchstone of the Christian faith. As the Apostle Paul wrote “And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ.”
Not only does the theological understanding of our salvation rest upon the death and factual resurrection of Jesus Christ, the truth claim of the Christian faith rests upon the resurrection as an event that took place in historical space-time.
So it is with confidence, and with great joy, that we celebrate Easter – the Resurrection Day. Join with us this Easter Sunday at 1:00 PM (at 13208, 95 ST NW, Edmonton) for a celebration worship service as we together rejoice and proclaim that Jesus is alive and that He is Lord of all. Do plan on staying back after the service for a fellowship meal.
Behold, I am doing a new thing!
Jul 8th
Our 2010 Annual Convention coincides with the 25th Anniversary of Asian Christian Church. The theme – “Behold, I am doing a new thing!” – taken from Isaiah 43:19, is particularly appropriate as we set the stage to celebrate our past and launch into an exciting, faith-filled journey into a future of renewal and growth for our church.
Special meetings will be held on Friday, July 30 & Saturday July 31, 2010, both days in the evening at 6:30 pm. This will be followed by our Sunday Worship Service at its usual time at 1:00 pm on August 1, 2010. The convention is being held at the Northgate Baptist Church, 13208, 95 ST NW, Edmonton.
The convention speaker is Rev. Dr. Johnson Charles, the Pastor of the Calgary Mosaic Church. Rev. Charles is also the host and teacher of a weekly television programme—Jeevan ki Baatein.
A special programme of music to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Asian Christian Church is planned. Also in the works is a slide show & an exclusive display of photographs featuring the people and events from the 25 years of Asian Christian Church’s history.
This year’s Annual Convention has been billed as “A time of seeking the Lord’s face for renewal and revival through worship, prayer and the preaching of God’s Word.” We will be exploring the theme of faith-filled expectant waiting upon the Lord to fulfill his promise – “Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”— Isaiah 43:19
We invite you to join us in thanking God for his goodness to us through these past 25 years. We would indeed be honoured to have you attend this landmark celebration in our church’s history.

Sunday School
Dec 29th
We are all set to begin offering regular Sunday School classes for children from January 2010.
A Bible-based, multi-age curriculum that includes a lot of crafts and other fun activities will take the children through a two-year journey exploring how to live as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Not only will our children have a lot of fun in Sunday School, they will also learn a lot about the Bible and grow in their spiritual walk as disciples of Jesus Christ.
